About SMEC

The Santa Maria Enterprise Center (SMEC) is a facility and program unique to the Central Coast. The overall goal of this non-profit business incubator is to stimulate economic growth and create jobs for the Central Valley.  To accomplish this, SMEC is offering business development services and physical resources to ensure the success of local start-up companies.

These include:

• Office space with access to office equipment and an office environment

• Telephone and voice mail services

• Internet access

• Desk, file cabinet and use of office equipment

• Use of conference area

• Prestigious, easy-to-find location and address

• Personal counseling and workshops for your business

• Networking opportunities

Basic requirements for acceptance as a client:

• Approval by the Board of Directors

• $250 per month fee

• Willingness and commitment to succeed

Application Process

• Submit an application (click here for application) with a business plan, references, and any applicable information to help the Board of the Santa Maria Enterprise Center in making a decision about accepting your business.

• The Board will review your information and contact you with complete details and requirements for being in the Santa Maria Enterprise Center
